What is CogSci Lounge?

CogSci Lounge provides a place for students and researchers from cognitive science, psychology, and other disciplines to discuss, debate, and exchange opinions and resources. The forum can also provide a place to connect people as well as learn about various career opportunities.
But this requires everyone to be an active user!
Six easy steps to get you started

Register: If you haven't already, create an account by registering here. This will also get you weekly digest of any new posts on this site. Registration is not mandatory for reading posts, but is required for creating new posts or commenting. Once registered, you can login here.

Verify your email: We make an attempt to reduce spam. That's why we require users to verify their email id. If you did not receive a verification email or are unable to make new posts, send an email to cogscilounge@gmail.com.

Introduce Yourself: Make a short post about yourself here. Tell us where you are located. What domain of cognitive science do you work in. What excites you about cognitive science. Why did you choose cognitive science. What are your research interests.

Update your profile: Once you are logged in, you can access your profile by clicking on the user icon in the bottom right corner.
- Fill in your website or webpage or linkedin. Write a short summary. This will make it easier for others to know about you when they visit your profile.
- If you are on a computer, this button should be accessible from the menu on the right side of the screen.

Make a post:
- Visit the categories page and pick what appears most relevant to what is on your mind.
- Then use the "New Topic" button to create a new post.
- You can also check out recent posts from the Hamburger menu "≡" at the bottom.

Check out others: You can see the list of users here. You can sort them by who was last online or who are the top posters. Once you click their profiles, you can also Follow or Chat with them.

Do NOT discuss or link to illegal (aka piracy), obscene, pornographic, hateful, violence-inciting, insulting, derogatory, or other materials that would not be allowed in a workspace. Posting any of them could lead to a permanent user ban.

Do NOT harass other users. Report users who harass you.

If you are criticizing any book or article, make sure to criticize the work, and not the author. And let the criticism be constructive. Non-constructive criticism that does not add any value to anyone will NOT be tolerated.

You may create multiple accounts. Posting in "Double-blind Open Reviews" requires that you post using an account with an unverified email address for anonymity purposes.
